"Fallen Chestnut Petals in Place Dauphine"

Tucked away off the beaten path though only a stone’s throw from Pont Neuf, Place Dauphine is a small community of its own. One of its outstanding features is the beautiful pink chestnut trees which bloom profusely in spring and then gradually fade, leaving a pink carpet of petals on the place at their feet.
